Needs serious improvements
Let me get this straight. 9.3 rating on Booking.dot.com? No doubt the distillation of a sum total of four (4) enthusiast one-word reviews of “Excellent!” gushed from a surely unbiased quartet of locals. Hmm... Well, the facts are as follows. First the good news: the linen and place (except for the floors) very clean. Two nifty USB charge points in bedside lights The view and sunsets, pure Med. chic. Large-screen TV appears to work (only tried briefly). Small under-counter fridge worked fine. The host and hostess (Ante & wife) helpful and pleasant. - Then, the rest of the news. Where to begin? Facility design: quick-build sketchy with jutting edges (both for elbows — disarticulating sliding hole-ly screen doors; and feet — razor-sharp edges protruding from stones in doorjams, pointless step from kitchen area, metal runners for screens…). A whopping 70+ step down, but later up climb from the roadside to the apartment. Good exercise, but not for the unfit or elderly. Apartment amenities: hardly any — no kettle, no toaster, one broken corkscrew, hairdryer? ha! Cutlery & crockery — the leftover collection from someone''s dead uncle’s garage sale. Only marching coffee mugs had to be borrowed from next door. Soup plates, but no muesli- or nutbowls. No ice tray. Common entranceway: cluttered (almost at eye level so you couldn’t miss anything) with dead vegetation, empty wine and plastic bottles, used watermelon rinds, presumable tossed by an animal lover to two desultory hungry tortoises. Speaking of rubbish, there seemed to be no system of collection and disposal. Had to get an extra bag for the tiny kitchen waste basket and was given a family-sized sack that finally fitted under the sink. Took the opportunity to get another role of toilet paper as the partial one in the toilet ran out. Internet: generally none, or barely two bars if you hang over the veranda to catch the signal from the grossly overpriced restaurant below. Bathroom: passably cramped, with odd angling of loo in one of our rooms. Hose shower not delivering water from the correct holes in another. One hand soap dispenser. No shampoo, etc, etc. Needs work. 2-3 stars would be generous.

Absolutely wonderful stay!
We loved our time in Zaklopatica Bay, Lastovo at Apartments Marina. The apartment was spacious, comfortable and had a super terrace with incredible sunset views over the bay. Lastovo was our favourite island - it''s natural beauty, laidback atmosphere and hospitality made for an incredible few days. We would love to visit again and would definitely stay at Apartments Marina again. Marina was a wonderful host and the food at the restaurant downstairs, delicious!

The apartment is situated directly at the harbor surrounded by nice restaurants. The hosts were very friendly.
