Apartments and Room Mira Crikvenica

Not worth the price if you book the "room" - it is very different than actual apartments
What we got was basically exactly what we saw that was written in the overview. A small room with 2 beds, a small terrace and a bathroom. We also got a small fridge, an electric kettle for water heating. This way, you can make some Nescafe (which we also got included). Our host was very friendly at all times. - The main problem is the fact that we expected to get something that is an "apartment". We saw that the location is called "Apartments and Room", but we didn''t expect that, if we don''t book an apartment explicitly, we will get just a room. 20 square meters room. Without any kind of an external kitchen. And in our previous experiences, any kind of "apartment" advertisement included at least a shared kitchen with other people. So if you plan to go to this location with one or more children, or expecting to be able to cook something on your own, please do not attempt to book just the "room". The air conditioning is basically necessary for survival during the night since there are no mosquito nets on windows, so you have to keep windows and terrace door shut during the night. And the air conditioning unit is so old, that the company which manufactured it doesn''t seem to exist anymore. And it failed during our next to last visiting day, so we had a very hot and sleepless night before we decided to go home. If there are signs that an important piece of equipment could fail (and there were signs), I would expect our hosts to take care of this before the actual failure occurs. All of above wouldn''t be an issue if the entire stay wasn''t absurdly expensive. I will not mention the price here, but few years ago we got an entire apartment which was almost 5 times larger than this room, had a kitchen, an outdoor barbecue and a hut where 10 people could enjoy an outdoor stay. And this was cheaper than the room that we got. Crikvenica isn''t such a "hot" travel location such as Zadar, Split or Dubrovnik, so the price paid / value ratio isn''t justified at all.
